Elizabeth Howe is the President of ILAC Board of Directors since 2015. Howe has over 35 years of experience as a public prosecutor in the United Kingdom.
She is also a Trustee of a Hospice for the terminally ill and a Governor of a School Academy. Prior to ILAC, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law (ISRCL), a Chair of the Kent Local Criminal Justice Board, a member of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Executive Board and the Office of the Criminal Justice Reform Board. She was also General Counsel of The International Association of Prosecutors (The IAP) on secondment from the Crown Prosecution Service for England and Wales.
In 2008 Elizabeth Howe was made an officer of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of her service to the Crown Prosecution Service of England and Wales. Howe received an award from the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law for advancing their aims.
