Ali Alkhateeb is a Legal Officer at ILAC, with a current focus on rule of law challenges in Syria and on the Syrian justice system.
Previously, Mr. Ali has worked as a Program Manager in the Humanitarian Unit in the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). As Program Manager, he was responsible for monitoring and analysing the global humanitarian situation and allocating funds based on humanitarian needs in order to then prepare, follow up, and evaluate SIDA-funded humanitarian efforts.
Mr. Ali holds an LL.M. in constitutional law and Human Rights Law from Umea University and speaks Swedish, English, and Arabic.
