Ismaël Benkhalifa is ILAC’s Senior Advisor. He coordinates ILAC’s activities in Tunisia and in other areas of the Middle East and North Africa region, and liaises with local justice sector counterparts and international actors. He is also a lead manager for the automation and modernisation reforms at the Tunisian national-level and their roll-out to Model Judicial and Administrative courts. He joined ILAC’s and NCSC’s assessment missions to evaluate the court administration in Tunisian judicial and administrative courts in 2015 and 2018, and the justice sector in Syria in 2017. Mr Benkhalifa is a Tunisian lawyer and development professional. He holds a MA in Public International and European Law from the University of Paris XI, France and in Maritime and Transportation law from the University of Aix-Marseille III, France. He is fluent in Arabic, French, Italian, and English.
